Troubleshooting & FAQ

Find answers to common questions about the Blinkr extension and troubleshoot issues with installation and credential injection.

Quick Fix: Re-authenticate

Most injection issues can be solved by logging out and back into the extension. This refreshes your session and site policy sync.

The extension icon is grey. What does that mean?

A grey icon usually means you are not logged into the extension. Click the icon and sign in with your Blinkr account. Once logged in, the icon will turn dark/active.

Why does Chrome say 'Disable developer mode extensions'?

If you installed the extension manually via the .zip file, Chrome will occasionally show this warning because it wasn't downloaded from the Web Store. You can safely click 'Cancel' or ignore it. To avoid this, we recommend installing from the Chrome Web Store if possible.

The extension isn't filling in my credentials on a specific site. Why?

First, ensure the site is on your organization's 'Allowed Sites' list. If it is, and injection still fails, it may be due to a complex form layout. Ask your admin to set custom CSS selectors for that credential set.

Can I use the extension on my phone?

Currently, the Blinkr extension is only available for desktop versions of Google Chrome. Mobile support is on our roadmap for future development.

Does Blinkr track my personal browsing history?

No. The extension only activates when you visit sites explicitly managed by your organization. We do not track or log your activity on personal sites like your bank, social media, or personal email.
